Engine Question

Just wondering how a built 258, (bored .030, cam ...) would be compared to a stock 360? I imagine the 360 will have more torque but would horse power be about the same?

Re: Engine Question

The built 258 might even be a little higher in the HP arena, with some miles on the 360.

Re: Engine Question

were talking about a hundred CID Difference with the 258 being the leser of the two. unless you have a two barrel 360 breathing thru miles of smog equipment and a built 258 they'll probably be somewhat close to similar power. 258s and 304s are more comparable. 200 hp and 250 Ft lbs should be easily attainable with 4.2 4bbl intake or FI, cam and free flowing exhaust should free up plenty of power.
