There is no upgrade for the Prestolite ignition used in '76.
It's totally obsolete, and no one makes anything that will work with it.
If you want to upgrade to the Motorcraft distributor and DuraSpark module,
You will need to build or buy a harness for the Ford hardware.
The 'TeamRush' upgrade parts are as follows,
Distributor from a '79 Jeep CJ-7 with 304 V-8 engine.
Module From a '79 Ford F-150 pickup, with 302 CID V-8 engine.
Coil, E-core or Canister,
E-Core, '92 Ford Escort, Connector NAPA p/n ICC-1
Canister, '79 Ford pickup, all engines, Connector NAPA p/n ICA-102.
Cap Adaptor, Distributor Cap, Rotor, From a '79 Ford F-150 pickup, with 302 CID V-8 engine.
Resistor wire, Wells p/n F799, around $10 at Auto Zone.
You are on your own for the harness side of the connectors...
Here is the diagram,
Here is the harness I have for sale, $75 with out extras.
It's a direct upgrade for the factory Prestolite harness.
Delco alt. connector, $10 Extra. Comes with a fusible link for the master charging wire.
The '76 factory V-8 was equipped with a Motorcraft alternator and external regulator. If you plan to keep these, you don't need the Delco upgrade harness.
E-core coil connector, $15 Extra.
The harness comes with the canister coil normally.
I can install the factory E-core coil connector on the harness if you plan to use the E-core coil.
