trailer tire pic and ????\'s

Had a trailer tire go on the way home from the TOR Roundup. Fortunately, I got to drive my jeep ALONE for the last 85 miles. Unfortunately, the rim and tire look real F'd. It would be nice to know how this happened.
I was cruising on the superslab at 65 or so and it just started to shake bad. I didn't hit anything and the tire pressure was set to my weight. Please let me know what y'all think...

I dunno Ricky. Looks like defective wheel. Seems real thin where it split. I've actually never seen one do this before.

Ricky is that an old truck wheel that got rusty and crusty, then brought back to life. I agree with dirt that the rim failed. Just wondering why. When did you check your air pressure with the tires hot or cold. Was that a front or rear trailer tire.
