Monteagle TOR was good.......

i had a good time, can't remember the trail name i ran saturday, (was a good 3) but did have a swimming hole kind of place that was fun to play around in, and a mud hole that if you hit fast enough you could get a couple feet of air coming out of of course had the recorders going. (such posers) the weather was great all day............sunday did some of stagecoach (ran it backwards, skipping some of the bad spots...) did run into chris and rick (elusive and zk50) at the bottom, small world..........
the fun began when i was going up 2-pull hill and my 35's just couldn't get me past these big rocks with what seemed like 38.5" tsl sx holes in front of them (the same size as elusive runs, Hmmm ) so i break my rear driveshaft u-joint straps 1/2 way up (getting it alittle to much) So, just as i get under to start working, my buddy says "at least it's not raining" (jeeperjohn: denny said this) and about 1 minute later the sky open up and just began dumping all she 2-pull hill (middle of stage coach) has become a river on a 45 degree was SO fun, after getting going again i just drove the riverbed to the grassy valley, going straight for the highway and called it a day.........(think i quit raining just after we got back to the hotel)

i think this picture was taken saturday, the "waffle house" is a -1(+) rated trail i think... rick can tell you more about that one

Re: Monteagle TOR was good.......

Here are some more pics...

<a target="_blank" href=></a>

While I was not personally there, at least 3 folks from Southern Jeeps made it (Patrick driving the big YJ with the orange cage and "big...." sticker on the windshield, Brian, driving the OD green built scrambler, and Milt the photographer).

Sounds like we missed out on a good time.

Re: Monteagle TOR was good.......

I talked to Denny and saw the video. I'll have to work on getting a still photo of the moment the u-joint strap bolt broke. What an expression!! I'm already trying to talk Denny into doing Tellico. Think he's scared. Feeling better ready to get the jeep finished. I just wonder what other problems I am going to run into
