welding alternative

I need to weld a new arm onto my carb throttle linkage. I had to replace the MC2100 with a reman and need to weld on a throttle arm. My welding buddy is not arround to do it. Should I go to a weld shop or is there something like JB Weld that is strong enough to attach this with.
