CJ - Glove Box Latch?

Anyone know a source for a CJ Glove Box Latch?

The tumblers in mine (Locking) have broke up, making it impossible to open. I removed it and have been using a Velcro strap fo the past year.

Will a push-button style work if I can find one?

Tuffy makes a secure glove box you can replace yours with. Runs about 90 bucks. Don't know a source for the latch, you might try Rosser.

Re: CJ - Glove Box Latch?

I need ideas. I removed the fresh air intake from behind the dash and Im fabricating a larger glove box. I need some way to lock the glove box. I have the original door but I need a lock..does anyone know where to get one that will fit? I know Tuffy makes a locking glove box but I only need the front door part and I believe theirs is the whole thing. Any ideas? thanks....

Re: CJ - Glove Box Latch?

I used a mailbox lock that I picked up at Home Depot. It comes with several different catches. 5 minutes worth of work and I had a locking glovebox again. Granted it's not as secure as a Tuffy, but for my needs, it works well.
