CJ speedo lights

I tried to replace the lights in the speedo on my 86 cj7. There are five lights, two indicator lights, two turn signal and one to light up the gauge. The turn signal and gauge light have metal clips and a rubber boot that hold the light into the speedo. The metal clips also ground the bulb. I had two of these metal clips break. Is it possible to purchase the boot with the metal clip attached, or just the metal clips?

Send me a check for $10.00 and I will cut all of the light sockets off of this harness I have and send them to you

Re: CJ speedo lights

I just found some connectors at AutoZone that work. They are mad by Motormite part #85805. You just need to splice them in.

Re: CJ speedo lights

Hey 86CJ7:

Are they the same as factory, or is it a better design? I have been stealing the little metal rings off an old harness I have, but that is a crummy connector regardless.

Thanks,

Re: CJ speedo lights

They are a better disign. You need to do a little bit of bending and they take a different bulb.
