Poping noise from new axle and locker set-up.

AMC20 OnePiece axles and Lock-right. No I'm not talking about the engage/disengage ticking noise of the locker, I'm talking about a loud high tensile sounding pop that has happened twice since I installed the axles and locker the other weekend. Last time it happened I was turning right and heard a loud POP as explained before followed up with a rear end dance. Just wanting to find out if this is typical or not. I wasn't giving it that much throttle either. I'm guessing that the lockker was holding instead of releasing for a turn and built up so much pressure that it made this LOUD POP. but I'm guessing on that.

Any ideas or questions?

thanks
Brent

Its locker "unwind". A detroit will do it too, but since the softlocker came out its not as pronounced. A little disconcerting, but normal. To minimize the effect make sure your tires are exactly the same inflation and/or height.

Ya, I've been meaning to check my tire wear from previously having the Open Diff and make sure they are the same. And Tire Pressure.

Thanks
