The RTV I use now is O2 Sensor safe, so no acids when it cures.
I should have mentioned that, but with everything being fuel injected and having O2 sensors now, you can't hardly buy the old acid type RTV any more.

When you mention RTV a lot of folks probably think of hardware store silicone caulk, which produces lots of acetic acid. Eats copper for lunch. I wanted to make sure everyone knows that's bad crackers on electrical stuff.
