Roof mounted tent?

My brother-in-law is looking for the company that makes the roof mounted tents for his CJ7. I think the company is Italian but I could be wrong. Any of you have any info?

Thanks in advance,

"Any of you have any info?" Not sure if this is exactly what you're looking for but it's a start. Click on the link.

I've bought stuff for my Rover from these guys and they seem to be reliable. I'd use them again. Looks like it could be used on vehicles other than Rovers.

Re: Roof mounted tent?

Thats pretty darn cool....but....I have a few concerns...

1. I'm 190 pounds. My g/f is about 125. That tent setup has to be at least 50 pounds...You think a CJ hardtop is gonna hold that kinda weight? um....
2. If you decided to mount it to the tub....i can seethe bars getting hung up on stuff...trees, branches, etc...
3. Kinda ruins the "top down, doors off" feeling, doesnt it?
4. WHY? Last I checked...we didnt have predatory jackals or lions around why not just go buy a nice Coleman tent, twice that size, for a lot less money...
5. I have one of these> for my Ram, and I use this bedliner> I love them both. The truck tent was about $130, and the bedrug was about $300. I liked them cause they get uyou up off the ground...and there were bear and such in FL where we went camping...

It certainly is different....but I can see my Dumba$$ falling out in the middle of the night!

Interesting. I think I'll stick to my Glaciers Edge tent though.....Way too much stuff hanging off my CJ5 already!
