My Jeep has been taken over by wasps!!

My Jeep has been sitting up on jackstands (only two now!) for about
8 months. With the warmer weather it seems wasps have taken a
likeing to my Jeep! I was working on it yesterday when to my surprise
there was about 10 wasps come flying out at me! As most of you know
the garden hose only pisses them off! So I made a quick trip to the store
to pick up a couple of cans of wasp/hornet spray. Needless to say, I
came out victorious! The genocide the wasps suffered was bad...but
they came back for more! I'd have to say that by the end of the day the
score wasps 0 and me at least 30!

Alec, I don't know about VA, but in most of the country, killing White Anglo Saxon Protestants is against the law. They usually won't live in a Jeep though, and they don't travel in packs of thirty.
Never seen one attack, must have been rabid, time to change the oil.

Re: My Jeep has been taken over by wasps!!

I havnt had any wasps in my jeep, but i know that mud daubers like the jeep. seems like a nice place for them to make their little adobe villages. I have also found plenty of spiders. Black widows seem to like the rims and brake drums of the jeep, but only if i dont drive for a while. My stepdad once had an old potiac grand prix and it was infeted by ants and cockroaches. No matter how many times he fogged the interior, they remained. Even when hwe pulled out the seats and carpet. amazing

I HATE wasps with the passion. They like my shop out back and especially my side where I store Jeep stuff, its terrible but once I get workin they leave me alone. I took out about 10 within 10 minutes last Sunday.

Wasp and hornet killer works good and sprays a long way. A cheap alternative and something you probably have around (any good Jeep owner needs it) is spray brake cleaner. Stops them now and doesn't leave residue. Just be careful of paint! Nickmil.

Alec, move back to Daytona and you won't have that problem! I had no idea you were in Williamsburg. It's pretty up there. I had a deal there, called Powhatan Village. It's an apartment complex in the northeast that we financed.

Gotta love William and Mary. When I wasn't working, I was cruising the streets by the sorority houses in my rental Buick!

Dont listen to Alec...

He bought a set of 33" BFG M/Ts like 3 years ago...i BET they still have the nubs on the tread blocks! Poor Jeep...never gets driven...

Alec! You need brake parts cleaner...that pyroil stuff we sold at discount...like $2 a can...works great. They probably have a nest in it somewhere....I'd find it if i were you...removing it is the only way to remove them!

Where's my pictures?

FYI, Gasoline kills all flying stingy things on contact. I have a garden sprayer that I use for this purpose Pump it up to 15 PSI and let 'er rip. It holds 3 gallons and will squirt way farther than any spray can ever made.

William & Mary is nice, and my fiance will be graduating from there on May 12.
I can see why you'd ride along the streets there though! I'm in no hurry to go
to back to Daytona!

I flushed out the nests that the damn things had made, so they're gone for now!
