Ford 8.8\", stock locker pic / question

Finally getting back to my 8.8" axle swap, have a few questions.
I acquired one 8.8" from a '96 explorer, it has 4.11 with 31 spline. Turned out when it was delivered that it didn't come with calipers, I gave 'em hell since I was told it was 'complete' and the next day they sent me another axle with calipers (and let me keep the first one). The second one only had 3.73 (I run 4.11 up front right now). I popped the 3.73 axle cover and noticed it has a locker (pic is attached), I pulled the center pin and slid a shaft and notice it also has 31 spline axles! I thought only the 4.11 axles has 31 spline.
So now I am thinking about transferring the locker from the 3.73 axle to the 4.11 axle, if the locker will hold up? What kind of locker is it? Are there any tricks to removing it? Do the 3.73 gears have to stay with it or can I swap it to the 4.11's? Any help is appreciated!

Re: Ford 8.8\", stock locker pic / question

The stock lockers are a very mild limited slip locker.
I would not recommend using them, I have seen several cracked stock carriers that occured in conjunction with the stock LS lockers.

Re: Ford 8.8\", stock locker pic / question

Thanks for the tip luvFriday, I was afraid of that. May try to run it though since it doesn't look like I need to re set the pinion, am I correct? I'll fix it when it brakes (unless I find a mini-spool first).

Any tricks to removing one of these stock locker things?
TIA, Big Ed

One more thing, what is the part number for the yoke adapter for the 8.8" to my YJ drive shaft.
