OT-- amazing radio controled Jeep...

I urge you all to check out the time and detail this guy put into his 1/6th scale RC Willy's MB. It is unbelievable. Working hand crank wipers, lights, hood hold downs, etc. He also made an incredibly real looking 1/6th scale Bantam trailer for it. In some of the pictures, you would swear it is real.
I am amazed at his ability to make 1/6th scale things look and function as if they are full scale.

That blows me away. Part of me is skeptic and asks where does he say the photos shown are of his 1/6 scale jeep? The photography against the background and grass underneath looks all to scale for an actual jeep. If that's real, he's a master model maker!

Re: OT-- amazing radio controled Jeep...

hehehe...I hear ya about thinking the photos are fake, but if you look for various things you can see that they truly are 1/6th scale.
In the Bantam trailer pics there is a picture that shows the trailer hooked to the jeep and you can see a fence in the background which truly shows the small scale. Also if you look at his construction pictures, you can see the painstaking work that went into making it that realistic.
I have one of the Soldiers of the World Jeeps that he used as the base to make his, so I can recognize certain little detials that give it away as being 1/6th scale and not full scale. I'd have to say that is the most amazing modeling work I have ever seen...and it being a Jeep certainly helps!

That's amazing detail...but the whole tour on his home page with the Ken dolls is a little disturbing.

At firstI was thinking that it might not be the actual model to.But it's just awesome the detail on it I've never seen any model with such realistic detail. But if i were going to work on it for a yeatr and a half it would have to be a real Jeep so that i could drive it when i was done.

Yes that jeep article thing is a little disturbing. It's cool to use the dolls to show off some of the features of the jeep that are realistic.

I think it went a little too far, and this guy might have a little too much spare time .

But he is awesome in his engineering.
