Holley 5200 is this a good idea?

I have an 84 'CJ7 258 with the Carter BBD on it. I have heard that the Holley 5200 is a cheaper version of the Weber 32/36. I cannot afford the Weber and the 5200 is considerably cheaper. Has anyone ever done this? Issues? Is this a good inexpensive alternative to the BBD?

Thanks for your help

Re: Holley 5200 is this a good idea?

I remember the 5200 that came on 2.0 L Pinto motors. When you took it apart, the float bowl inside said Webber design for Motorcraft. It's certainly a nice little carb with a progressive two barrels. Not sure what application you get one off that will flow enough cfm's for a 258. The little pinto only put out <100 hp in 71 with that carb.
