Another yellow one!!! Pics.

The 71 got a fresh coat of paint over the winter, zinc yellow (New Mustang color). I had Macco spray the body, I did the inside and the dash. I installed Warrior Products powder coated steel corners this last saturday.

How'd it turn out? It looks good from the picture. Maaco usually does a nice job, but you have to do the prep work for them.
I think yellow has to be one of the most popular colors for Jeeps on this board.

Looks real good. Got to love the early jeep
Where did you get those rims from? I have been looking for a set of them and havnt had any luck, but i also didnt know what vehicle to search. A buddy has a 6 lug set on his F350.
They are nice old style aluminum rims, and look real good on an early CJ5.

Re: Another yellow one!!! Pics.

Thanks guys, It turned out real nice Rick. The pics were taken in my garage with bad light, Except for the one with my son in it. There was two places on the body I had Macco repair before they sprayed it. I did not want to spend a ton of money on the paint job because the jeep is used mostly off road. I did not want to ruin a high dollar paint job with brush and rocks.

Dan the wheels are western wheel turbine style. My dad bought the wheels years ago. I don't know if western is still in business. You might try to search the web. I have seen a few older fords around the Reno area with this style of wheel on them.

Re: Another yellow one!!! Pics.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did they charge to paint it?
I've painted another jeep about a year back, but I don't have access to the gun and all that anymore.

Thanks
Joey

Re: Another yellow one!!! Pics.

Joey, It was close to $450 for the paint. Total was $650 after the labor to fix the two bad spots on the body. One rear panal was crushed in from a rock incident and the hood had road rash from a roll over incident.
