Re: PA Speakers

I don't have any photos on hand, nor do I even have a TJ, but I do have a CJ that I had a PA speaker mounted. I opted to mount it on passenger-side mirror for a while. After I smacked it on a tree or rock (it's been a while), I moved it to the front bumper where the winch mounts.

I picked up everything from Radio Shack for relatively cheap, ran regular old speaker wire, with a regular old horn that cost me 15 bucks or so and used it a lot at races or while pulling someone out.

I'd suggest getting yourself a speaker and some wire, sit back, relax and imagine where it is you want to mount it and then imagine what kind of problems or hinderance that location will create. If it's not that bad, mount it.

Just curious, but what's the point of a PA in a Jeep?

Re: PA Speakers

I have one in mine, and I mounted it under the hood on the fender. It is still pretty loud under there. I also got mine at rad-shack. It is fun to yell at people on campus with it. Also good for harassing lesser jeeps when they are stuck. Pretty much a novelty but one of the most fun mods I have. Ill try and get some pics up later
