tub swap problem-need help!

I just put a yj tub on a 85 cj frame. I have a 1" body lift(new) and the frame has no rust. The center 2 body mounts under the door (one on each side) has a 1/2 gap. All other mounts are in place and touching the boby. My question is has anyone run into this at all? I don't think the frame or tub is bent. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you sure you put the right mounts at the right points? I know the mounts can be different sizes. Also, are you tightning it down all the way? Would the gap go away if you kept tightning, or am I misunderstanding what you're saying completely?

Re: tub swap problem-need help!

I did this swap a while ago. From what I remember the mounts behind the doors will not line up. Everything else was good.

Also the mounts in the rear crossmember also have to moved about 1/2" further out.

Re: tub swap problem-need help!

I was not aware that there was different size mounts on the cj. I have not tried to continue to tighten those two mounts. I was afraid of bending or distorting the door opening. I will check on the sizes of the mounts.
Thanks Bob T
