D30 Disc Questions - Semi Urgent

I've got all the parts to convert my narrow-trac D30 front axle to discs. I've got 2ea. 6bolt brackets (for the front), 2ea. 2bolt brackets (will use them as patterns for the rear), and 4ea. calipers (wide rotors are coming from the 'Zone). The main thing I need to know is which calipers are for which set. They are all Bendix branded and the first 2 seem to be larger than the last 2.
The numbers on the calipers are as follows (Maybe somebody has a Bendix book?):
#1 = 2235074 - 4247
#2 = 2235074 - 3362
#3 = 2238366-R - 215
#4 = 8365-L - 9165

Also, does anyone know the length/size of the studs from the knuckle thru the bracket & spindle are? Am I correct that the calipers will be positioned @ 9-12 o'clock on the passenger side and @ 12-3 on the drivers side?

Thanks for any info you can pass on!

Gee, I just had mine all apart. Your postiton of the capilers is correct. I can't tell you which calipers are for what. The length of the bolt was about 3" if you are talking about the caliper pin.

I have some narrow tracks in the shed with the brackets in place. If you explain what measurement you need, I will go out and get them.

Re: D30 Disc Questions - Semi Urgent

Thanks Man! My current setup has drums. Since I need to bolt on the 6bolt brackets between the knuckle and spindle (will be re-using the drum spindles), I wanted to use studs there and on the hub. I need the length and size of the studs for both locations. This is so I can gather the stuff to minimize downtime.

Re: D30 Disc Questions - Semi Urgent

Hey Dave good luck on the change over I don't know the stud lengths so I can't help you with that.... I did think of something you might want to check. I am no expert on axles but I did convert my dana 44 front from drum to disc and I had to change the outer axle shaft (the ones for disc brakes were longer). I don't know if it's the same for dana 30's but it might be something you want to check (if you didn't already).

Re: D30 Disc Questions - Semi Urgent

Thanks Steve, I've been told that I can just add the brackets (6bolt), clearance the knuckle, and re-use the hubs, spindles, bearings, & shafts.

Another question though: Can I buy rotors that will be thick (like the 1 1/8" 76-78 CJ) from another application? All the local pink parts either only have the narrow rotors or HAVE to sale the whole deal w/ hubs ($100-125 ea. ).
