I guess I'm not sure what I would need for a dist cap adapter? One that goes from a 79 304 dist. to a 302 Ford? Same with the cap, do I need one for a 302?

'79 304 CID AMC engine...

Cap and rotor upgrade are as follows...
All from a '79 Ford F-150 Pickup with 302 CID Engine.

CAP ADAPTOR, (you must have this distributor cap adaptor to use the large Ford style cap.)
Distributor cap.
Rotor.

There is NO upgrade for the Prestolite ignition.
No one makes anything for them, not even MSD will touch them.

If you convert to a Motorcraft/ DuraSpark igntion (Jeep started using them in '78), then you can do the cap and rotor upgrade.
