Heater blower upgrade

I'll be taking my heater assembly out to fix a leaky heater core. I've heard of an upgrade using a GM blower motor. Can anybody give me the details? This would be for an '84 CJ7.

Re: Heater blower upgrade

I did a little write up on this a while back...

The only tricky part is enlarging the hole in the fire wall, there are many methods to doing this.

Re: Heater blower upgrade

I just bought the part the other day but I haven't got to put it in yet. I paid $17 for a new blower motor from a local parts store. When you
order make sure you order a blower motor for a 1973 chevy blazer with a 350 and AC. This will give you the right part. You will have
to enlarge the hole from 2 3/4 to 3 1/4 inches. Hope this helps.
