I have a chance to buy a rust free YJ tub and frame with the hard top. It's just the tub no wiring, dash, seats etc.
Rust free great shape. No frame damage, hard top has good glass and excellent shape.
The guy wants me to make an offer, what is this thing worth?
I'm not worried about what it will take to finish it, I just want to know what to offer.

I've seen them go for upwards of $1500 to $2000 that tub and Hard Top will be a hot commodity.

Is it just the frame, or does it also have the running gear?

You might want to get the VIN # and have someone do a check on the history of the jeep. It sounds nice but something in such a good condition with the "Make Me an Offer" attached to it would make me suspicious of a parted-out theft. It won't take that much extra effort to have the #s run. It could save you alot of explaining to the police and loss of investment if seized for evidence. Of course if you know the person selling the tub/top, the above statements probably don't apply.

My brother in law just paid 400 bucks for a great 95 yj tub. I could have bought the frame for 300 but i already had one lined up for 100 bucks. That hard top has got to be worth 500.

I were going to sell a yj tub i wouldnt get less then 700, but would start at 1000. A body shop will pay around 200 bucks just for part of a frame so a good clean frame has to be worth 500.

Guess I should have been a little more specific, had a family function to get to.
The Jeep caught on fire and burned the hood, fenders, and part of the dash and wiring. It didn't really hurt the interior, just some minor smoke damage. Other than that it is in great shape. The guy wants to keep the engine, trans, and transfer case, so basically I'm getting everything else.
There are several parts I want off of this vehicle, and then would probably sell the tub, hard top and frame. I'm going to keep the axles, doors, seats.......etc. So the only thing left will be the tub, frame and hard top. Just thought I would see what these items are worth to determine what to offer the guy.
It for sure has a clear title, and is leagal. Just thought I would see what you guys thought.
