5\" Jeep Jamboree lift limit?

Does anyone know how strict the Jamboree is in this rule. Myself and a buddy are going in June and have about 6" of total lift. The information states that they have a 5" total lift limit and 35" tire size limit. We don't want to loose our money by being turned away. Thanks for your help.

Re: 5\" Jeep Jamboree lift limit?

JT,
It seems to kinda depend on the coordinator of that particular jamboree. I think the folks at the Paragon & Pocono Jamboree are more flexable than the folks at the Penns Woods Jamboree, they will probably not turn you away, but might give you a hard time and limit you on which trail to run - they dont want to loose out on the big $$$ anyway.... Last year at Penns woods, there was a big cherokee with 38's and there was a CJ7 with a SOA and 35's. - which Jamboree were you thinking about running??

Mel,
I am registered for the Pocono Big Boulder Jamboree. It's the first year, according to the web site. Thanks for your help. By the way this will be the Steelers year.

WEll.. 2 minds about it..

First year: they want everyone they can get there and will let it slip.

First year: they want to lay down the law and make sure the rules dont get squaezed until you see 44's and rear steering in 6 years.

I know some of the people that are running that Jamboree and some of them are running 8" and 38s, you will be fine, just act like you belong there and they wont say a word. Have fun, I have been at a Jamboree that was run by BMJA, like the one you are going to is, and it was well done and alot of fun. You will have a good weekend.

Re: 5\" Jeep Jamboree lift limit?

I have been to the YO Ranch Jamboree 3 times. I have never even had my Jeep looked at. They don't do any of the things they say. They don't check for tow hooks even. One of the trail helpers was running 37s on his CJ7. I am attending the Red River Jam in July. Hopefully, I will be in my Scrambler SOA with 35s. I don't anticipate any problems. If there are, I will get a full refund and wheel the local trails.
