? on 87 YJ 4.2L cylinder head dowel locating pins

I received an 87 Jeep Wrangler, 4.2L I6 with the cylinder head removed -- no dowel locating pins (to align with the block) in sight. Does anyone know if they were used on this engine and maybe I just didn't get them with the Jeep? thanks Data

No pins... if you have any oil or water on the head gasket it pretty much will slide wherever you want it to until you put a head bolt or two in.

Take an couple old head bolts and cut the end off them. Hand thread them in, slide the gasket on then the head, wa-la. Remove old headbolts with vice grips.
