ok what happened here,i m swapping out my broke t-15 for a t-150 ,one might have assumed this would be a bolt in,wrong.the input shaft on the t-150 is an inch shorter and different looking, great does this mean i need a different bellhousing?,clutch? help
You're also going to need a new clutch disc, clutch fork, and throwout bearing. All of these items changed in '76 and the old parts will not work with the new bellhousing. The T15 input shaft uses a 1-1/8" clutch disc and the T150 uses a 1-1/16" clutch disc.
this is goin to shorten the entire engine to output yoke by two inches or so,so do you think my rear drive shaft is goin to take that distance up?i cant just switch the clutch input shafts on the front of these trannies can i?
im filing this swap under "monumental" by my beater jeep standards ,if and when i put this thing back together first thing im goin to do is find a big old oak tree and give her the old ghost launch brick on the gas pedal routine just to show it whos boss.
