Junkyard Guys!! Could you do me a locator search?

Could someone try to locate a '95 Chevy driver's front door. This is on a 1/2 ton truck. The door is the same for suburbans, trucks, etc.... I am in Austin, Texas 78737. My brother-in-law called several local yards and they all said they didn't have one and couldn't locate one. I find it hard to believe, there must be thousands of those doors given the applications. All we need is a shell, but we will take more if necessary.

Thanks,
Tom

I'd love to help, but I can't do you any good. I don't have a locating service at work. (in house system only) And to be honest..........those are darn hard and $$$ doors to get. 88-up chevy are 3rd only to 94-up dodge an late model super duty fords. While not exactly "late model" they still bring big money. Why? Because the trucks cost alot to buy them.(to part out)

Junkyards

Check the yards in the Silsbee/Kountz area - there are at least 6 good-sized yards, and one of them (Armor J) has about 4 yards. Yeah, it's a little drive (OK, maybe 3 hours 1-way), but if you NEED a door...

Re: Junkyard Guys!! Could you do me a locator search?

Wow, I had no idea those doors are a difficult item. I did a co-part search and found several. They are all around $400. I can get a new factory shell for $400. So I guess it is time to visit the dealer.

Thanks,
Tom

try browns of two rivers, they sell good quality aftermarket body parts. The door you want is $240 from them.
