OT- \'99 F150 5.4L /Auto 2WD

I realize it's not for offroad, but who better to ask? I'm looking for a new DD and something to tow the Jeep with. What's the general impression of this truck? Will it handle a 6000# load without puking it's guts? Are there any issues with either the 5.4L or the automatic? Where the heck are the plugs? All serious comments needed (don't want to nurture the Ford/Chevy battle). TIA

Re: OT- \'99 F150 5.4L /Auto 2WD

I have a 98 4x4 with the 4.6 liter. It pulls my jeep and trailer just fine. Just remember to tow with the overdrive off. I took it down to telico last year from NJ and it did beautiful. That truck does like the higher rpm's so don't get scared when you hit a hill while towing and it goes straight to 5.5k. I drove up some crazy mountains getting down there, where the rpm stayed at 5.5k for like 30 minutes, without skipping a beat. Unfortunately I'm forced to sell it. They do have a great ride. And as far as the plugs go, look at the intake manifold. I believe thats where they are.
