88 YJ vacuum problems

My Jeep will start, but won't idle properly. I have two vacuum hose schematics, and have gone over them thoroughly, matching and checking hose routes. I, mat wits end! Any help would be great.

Re: 88 YJ vacuum problems

I would say it sounds like the carburator?? Unless you can here some vaccum leak then that doesn't seem like the problem. Did this just start happening? There are only a couple major vaccum lines that need to be hooked up. The Vacuum hose coming from the distributor to the intake. Then on the back of the intake there is a suction line that goes to the heater and the 4wd shift motor and t-case unit make sure that isn't leaking. Other than that there is the pcv system going to the biggest port on the back of the carb. Hope something helps here, as far as the other ports on the carb as long as they aren't leaking or are plug you should be all set.
On my jeep the only vaccum hose I have is one to the distributor and 1 to the valve cover for the pcv. (2 Vaccum lines and it runs perfect.

Re: 88 YJ vacuum problems

Did you spritz carb spray or water around manifold, carb and vacuum lines to see if they'd suck in the spray and see if the RPM would change?

Thanks for the advice. Timing was a little off.
