Re: temp on 258\'s?

Mine has been running at the 3/4 (towards hot) mark since I bought it, but it is a replacement gauge. I replaced the fuel gauge and both senders at the same time and the fuel gauge only lasted a week before dying so I don't hold much stock in the temp.

Barely even reaches the green, whatever temp that is. Was that way for 145,000 with the old motor, same with the new one.

I was curious. I just installed a new auto meter and it reads 185. I thought it was low but I guess not. Thanks!

Mine runs around 190 now. It used to run over 210 and that warped the head. I would recommend keeping it under 200 on a sustained basis.
