Anyway to upgrade D30 hubs on a TJ ?

I want to upgrade my TJ's D30 to locking hubs. I like the Warn upgrade but they don't recomend tires over 33"(due to the fact that there are only 3 bolts holding the hub). Can I use another axle's knuckle inexpensivly? I would like to get a D44 front as soon as the money becomes available. Sould I wait(no rush, also buying my first home right now so money is TIGHT) or is there something I can put together?
Thanks for help in advance

Talk to Jeeper99XJ. His front wheel bearings are shot and he is replacing them and is converting to locking hubs. He may be able to help

too bad search is on vacation still... I posted a solution a while back, but you'll need some fabricating skills.. just grind the knuckles off a scout and weld to the tj axle with warns cj hub conversion kit. you'll get 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern, the cj kit is only $240, and you'll get bigger brakes and bearings..
now the bad news.. I have never done this.. its all therory..I do know that a warn cj hub conversion bolts on a scout d-44, and that would be a nice thing to keep for whatever d-44 you end up with..
I think I'll give this a shot when i get my stroker running and I'LL LET YOU KNOW HOW IT GOES..

Hey Elusive, where does your stroker stand at this point? I didn't know you're doing one, I'm interested. Care to brief us on it?
