BDS install quesiton
i'm installing a 2" bds lift on a 95 wrangler, it says for the rear brake line to use the drop backet they give u, but i assume that u also have to take the break line apart to use that drop bracket i can't figure it out? also it came with degree shims that arn't said at all about in the instuctions, also the holes on the degree shims are too small to fit the the center pin the the spring, also it says to use the tranfercase drop spacers, so i use both the degree shims and the spacers? whats a good driveline angle loook lik? thanks!!

Got Jeep?

Yes you will probably have to take your brake line apart to install the drop bracket, If it is only a 2" lift than I would only use the degree shims, you can take the center pin out and put it therw the shim or you can drill the shim out so the center bolt will fit! Good Luck:

Clamp the pack good and remove the pin, set on the shim (double check the right way!) then re-install the pin. If you drill it out to put it over the pin it won't leave much left to hold on the pad.

Re: BDS install quesiton
for a 2" lift, i wouldn't worry about the drop bracket on the emergency brake cable. if it looks like you need more cable, just unbolt the exist bracket and let it drop, or add an extention to the bracket.

you want to keep the transcase and pinion parallel with each other for the stock driveshaft to work properly. what did they give you, some 2-1/2* aluminium shims? i f you raise the transcase 2" and your driveshaft length is around 18", then you have an angle change of 6*. if you drop the transcase 1" and install the 2-1/2* shims you will be back to within a degree of the stock angle. bottom line, something has to give. if you don't address the angle change, the u-joints will take a dump.

don't drill out the shims. get a large c-clamp and clamp the spring pack tight, take out the centering bolt and install the shim- wide end towards the front, to kick the pinion UP.
