Re: My new D60 (pic)

Thanks for the compliment. I painted everything with POR so it looks good for now.
I bought a front 44 and rear 60 guard from Macromotive.com. Im not sure who makes them.
My drive shaft is at 23dg and the pinion is 19dg. This is simalar to the setup I had with the AMC 20. It works real well with or without the jeep being loaded down.
I now have a 15" CV drive shaft and the TFC output shaft is level.

Re: My new D60 (pic)

Nice installation, it looks like it was meant to go there! Was it shortened to CJ narrow-track specs?

Any problems with the gas tank?

Re: My new D60 (pic)

Its not narrow track specs but close. 54" wheel to wheel.

Re: My new D60 (pic)

I took the D60 on its maiden voyage yesterday. I didnít abuse it too bad but did put it through its paces.
Its just comfortable knowing I could never break this thing vs. the eerie feeling I got every time I really wheeled the AMC 20.

Re: My new D60 (pic)

Does look awesome, wish I had a strong axle like that. Might go to a 14 bolt some day.

Re: My new D60 (pic)

I looked at all kinds of rear ends before I decided on the D60.
The 14 bolt is huge and looked like I may have clearance problems with the lift I have.

The 9" is a good rear but I just couldn't see much of an advantage over the AMC 20 except for aftermarket parts availability. I have had both of them apart and just donít think it would have been the way to go for me plus I just like Dana differentials.
