They both "should" have a jack on the back to plug in a ext. speaker, At least most do. It depends on where you mount the unit at, I guess. If you put it on your rollcage above you noggin, its close to your ears and can be heard well, thats where I put mine, easy to get to, but not where I'm gonna be bumping my knees on it and stuff. A guy I work with used to own a CB shop, and I while talking about radios the other day, he said that "Realistic" brand radios, (radio shack carries them) have about the strongest recieve ability (power?) of the brands he seen. I don't know how much truth there is in that, but he knows his sh!t. Anyway, both of those radios are good, I used to have a little Uniden, I really liked it. Guess I would decide by price difference.
BTW, where did you see those CB's at?
