Upside down NP205?

Ok I have been collecting parts to do the GreenMachine Mark V or VI can't remember which. I had a SM420 from years ago that I pulled out of a huge 2wd chevy and I picked up a divorced NP205 recently. I plan to stretch a CJ7 frame and mount a half of a rusted out cj7 body on it (I bought the roll bar out of it and the guy threw in the tub). I am gonna cut the body behind the doors and use a scrambler half top and bulkhead that I have to make it a sort of cab truck jeep thing (possibly have a little built in tool box right behind the bulkhead. I am running a sm465 and np205 right now and was planning to replace it with the afore mentioned sm420 and divorced np205 until the other day when I happened upon a guy selling a Ford reverse cut high pinion dana 44 for $50 (same gear ratio as my 12 bolt rear). I have this idea of mounting the divorced NP205 behind my 465/205 combo upside down so that it is a driver drop and putting the Ford axle up front. Besides pluging the vent and drilling and installing a new one on the top (or bottom depending on how you want to look at it) and coming up with shifters (my twinsticked shift rail modified front is now useless) what problems do you guys see me encountering? Oh yeah I plan on switching the knuckles out on the Ford to make it 6 lug too.

Something else to keep an eye out for is a 205 from a Ford. They used quite a few divorced in the 70's. Just an idea.

Like Will said, the Ford 205 was commmon and plentiful in the divorced style. I'd sell off the Chevy one and just get a Ford one.

you better check, some of the 70's era ford fronts were reverse rotation to the rear.

If you can buy it, anyone can have it. If you build it.. then everyone wants it.
