Bought another Jeep!

I got tired of 8 MPG, so I picked up a '97 TJ today. It's bone-stock for now, with the 2.5L and the AX-5. It looks TINY sitting next to my CJ!

Re: Bought another Jeep!

I think adding a new Jeep to the family has to be one of the best feelings in the world. Just like Christmas as a kid. Enjoy the TJ.

Re: Bought another Jeep!

I'm on the waiting list for the '03 Wrangler Rubicon. Should be interesting having a built Jeep under warranty.

Re: Bought another Jeep!

I'd love to get a couple year old TJ for a daily driver, but I know I couldn't leave it alone, and the wife won't allow TWO built Jeeps (He11, she barely allows ONE). Have fun with your new toy.

Re: Bought another Jeep!

Bill,
So when do you want me to come over to put on the Long arm kit? Seriously though, what do the 4 cylinders get for mpg? Is this going to be the new daily driver and make the Cj a toy?

Re: Bought another Jeep!

That's exactly it! The CJ will be a trail rig, and the TJ my daily driver. I'm going to have LOTS of problems keeping my hands off it as far as mods, so no long arm kit for now. From what I hear, mileage will be around 21 MPG.
Travis, look for a stock white TJ with a tan soft top. I'll be waving!

Re: Bought another Jeep!

Seperate Jeeps for street and trail are great. Granted my MJ doesn't get the best mileage (15-16) but it can pull the Wrangler on the trailer and has a ton more storage space. Not being able to fit 31s is the only reason it hans't dealt with off-road bashing, so I suppose that is a good thing too...
