After searching and researching , I couldn't find any solid answers. GM S-series pick-ups with the 2.8 liter have a T 5 transmission with an NP 207 transfer. Is this tranny a direct replacement for the Jeep T 5 ? The '80 + Jeep T 5 usually has the Dana 300 transfer. And I know that the Dana 300 and NP version tansfers have the same round bolt pattern.
Also, some of the mid -80's cherokees have the 2.8 liter v-6 in some of them. Is this also the same GM version 60-degree 2.8 ltr, V-6?

Yes the S-10 has a T5. But nope, it's not a bolt in. Besides I think it's wimpier than the jeep version. I can sell them to the S-10 guys faster than I could ever get them.
