95 yj tranny question

Is the bellhousing pattern the same for a 95 yj 4 cylinder as a 88 yj 4.2 or 4.0? Or are the totally different?

Re: 95 yj tranny question

I believe all of thoose bell housings are different.
The 4 cyl is the AX5, (correct me if I'm wrong), i've got an 88 with a 4.2 and a BA/10, and the 4.0 came with the AX-15 usualy, so
AX-5, BA/10, and AX-15 all have different bell houses.
from what I've read, and I was planning on doing the ba/10-ax-15 swap soon. I know the bell housing is one of the items I need to change.

Re: 95 yj tranny question

The 6 cyl. bolt pattern on bell housings are the same for all the sixes used in the Jeeps in the 80's to now. The 4 cyl. patterns were different. You can swap a 4 style with a 4, or a 6 style with a 6 but not interchange them with out modification or new parts.
