Drums on to press on my axle bearings

Im changing my seals and bearings on my 1pc axles (amc20)should I leave the brake assembly on the axle when having the machine shop press on the bearing, because the bearing will no go thru the brake assy and the bearing is inboard of the brakes. thanks

you dont have to leave the drums on but you will have to leave the backing plate on
