Re: Elusive

Thank's, I was aware Elusive was in school, I was hoping he would log in on the weekend.
I have also had my jeep pop out of first gear while parked on a hill. It only happened one time, and it was my girlfriend driving. She had originally stopped and left it in neutral, I put it in 1st from the passanger seat while she had the clutch in. I can't be sure whether I actually had it in 1st or possibly 3rd, so I have never followed up on it. The jeep ended up rolling forward and hitting her grandfathers car. Thank's to plastic bumpers, it popped right back out.
Cheer's

Re: Elusive

before i ever made my first payment, my tj popped out of gear , rolled down a hill and hit a tree.. $1500 damage. it had been parked in my driveway for 20 min bofore it happened.. jeep said the e-brake wasnt on (parking brake) so I was SOL.. after i yelled at my wife (felt like an ass afterwards) i realized the tranny was indeed faulty on her jeep. i never got any money for the repairs, but the did replace the tranny in the tj. my tj had less then 6000 miles on it when they replaced it though, and the problem was VERY bad. shoot me a private message.. I graduate this place in a couple weeks and when i get home I'll shoot you an e-mail with some info that might help. You waited an awfully long time though, and jeep probably isnt going to be real keen on accepting any more recalls than they have to right now.

Re: Elusive

I believe not too long ago there was a post about this on the JU forum. Check over there and do a search. If my memory serves me correct you should be able to get if fixed no questions asked. But do a search and see what comes up.
