New 2100 bogs-help!

Just got done w/ the 2100 swap. Rebuilt the carb, put on, adjusted the mixture, cranks and idles like new. When I went for a test drive, it bogs horribly! If you get on the gas heavy, it seems to run ok, but let off and it bogs again. It almost kills the engine. Let off the pedal, it comes back up and idles fine. Vacuuum leak? Pump rod in wrong hole? What??? I'm going out to check some more things and I'll check back later! Thanks!

Re: New 2100 bogs-help!

Are you using ported vacuum for your distibutor's advance? Just a thought. If it idles well, it's not a problem with vacuum leaks. I have my accell pump set up with it second hole from the bottom on the lever at the throttle shaft. There is also the lever at the pump itself you can play with.

Re: New 2100 bogs-help!

The dist. is running off the only vac. port on the carb. I don't know if it's ported. How do you tell? If it's not, and it's the only one I've got, what then?
