conversion to fuel injection

I have a cj7 1980 with a 2.5L 151 ci engine and would like to convert it to fuel injection. Does anyone know if any 2.5L manifold will fit.

Bringing it back to top. I don't know the answer but it is a reasonable assumption that the intake manifolds are interchangeable. But, you know what they say about assumptions...

I forget, which was the GM and which was the AMC 2.5L? Wasn't one a 150ci and the other 151ci?

Try searching on here. I'm thinking I've seen this come up before.

Re: conversion to fuel injection

The intake manifold of either a FWD or RWD GM 2.5 liter powered vehicle will work on the GM 2.5 liter used by Jeep. My 1980 CJ5 had a GM 2.5 liter until I converted to a SBC. I have several GM 2.5 liter EFI parts at bargin prices. I'd suggest using a PROM chip from a mid 80's FWD Pontiac Grand AM that had a 5 speed manual transmission.

Re: conversion to fuel injection

Your 1980 may be the GM "Iron Duke" 151. My 1981 CJ5 had that engine. I would look down that avenue. All the parts you need may be sitting in the junk yard as we speak.

Good Luck!
