I'm a Lafayette, IN native and live a mile into IL now, about an hour's drive north of the Badlands. Was at Haspin around Halloween, looked like they were working on a building there. Not really a lot of tough trails for the jeep there compared to the Badlands, but it's fun and different and you can camp and ride all night if you want. They have great woods trails for the dirt bike. It's about 3-1/2 hours for me, so we usually go for 2-3 days. Thinking about going there this spring.
