I tried to visit your web site. It says it's under construction and has some language I can't read. What's up with that?

My real questions is when do you think the site will be live. I have been coping information and diagrams from your posts to my Jeep file for over a year. Any way thanks for all the great information.

Re: TeamRush

I'm proud to say I have never turned a wrench on any of the rice grinders except to restore them to stock, basic transportation...

I'm also proud to say that we can't get any of the 'Getto Goobers' to take on our vintage Detroit Iron anymore...
After we tuned in 8.20's in the 1/4 on 'pump gas', through the mufflers, they just ain't having any....
(I can't understand why?)

They used to be good for extra spending money when we were broke, but we can't get any takers anymore...
I wish I'd taken the domain when we had the chance, but it's too late now... (for the moment anyway...)

The Web master says the web site will be up and running 'shortly', and that's all I know...
The T-1 is in (FINALLY! Never believe anything the phone company has to say about anything!), and we are starting to do the DNS stuff...
(What ever DNS stands for, I have no idea! I just write the checks...)

Supposedly we will have it up and running in the near future, and that's all I can say.

So many cats, so few recipes...

Re: TeamRush

Since this post has to do with Team Rush I feel that I have to chime in. I have just read a few of the other posts where people are giving him a hard time. OK so maybe he isnt the best people person you have ever met, but I think even he will admit that, however he has brought alot to this board, his knowledge of a wide variety of topics is absolutely amazing to me and if I have half as knowledgable when I am older I will be very happy. I am 25 years old, old enough to know that I dont know everything (I have forgotten alot from my teen age years when I did know it all), and can see that there is alot that I can learn from Team Rush and people like him. I for one missed his posts when he had quite posting here for a while and was glad to see him come back. Whenever I see one of his posts I know that it will be interesting. If you disagree with him, fine, that is your choice, however he has put alot of time and effort into this board and into helping fellow Jeepers out, he has given out info that he could have easily charged for and I know my 258 and I thank him. Treat him with the respect that he deserves, you dont have to like him, or agree with him, but you do have to respect him. He was very help to me directly. I have also noticed that the people who do harass him do so without warrent, and usually end up making no sense. I am sure that I will get flack from someone for this post, but I needed to speak my mind, I for one would love to spend a night drinking around a campfire with TR and try to absorb as much of his knowledge as I could, and to the guy who said he wouldnt let TR program his VCR, fact is TR is probably smart enough to use VCR plus and doesnt have a reason to do any programming of VCRs. Thanks TR you have given me a wealth of info, and many laughs, and if some people dont like your "grumpy old man" attitude and disreguard your posts because of that then it is their loss!

I do the same thing every weekend, its just the location where I do it that changes!

Re: TeamRush

I'll second JeepJunkie's sentiment.

Also DNS stands for Domain Name Server. In laymen's terms, it's what translates your IP address (the unique identifier for your server on the internet, which happens to currently be into something more memorable to the average human (like

Re: TeamRush

JJ, I guess you are refering to a couple of my posts regarding TR. I'm the last person that will ever give you any fluff for your comments. All I was trying to do was point out that I thought Arron could have used a little nicer bed side manor. I, like you, hope that Arron will continue to share his knowledge with us...I was just expersing my displeasure at his constant personal attacks on people. I am all for pointing out incorrect information. But as I stated in one of my posts, there are two ways to do it, the nice way and the TR way. And in my opionion, the TR way went way beyond the "grumpy old man" attitude. Arron is good at dishing it out but he is not very good at taking it. And very frequently his posts will deviate from the subject matter to personal attacks on the author. I personally find this immature and counter-productive to this BBS.
I too would like to sit down with Arron and have a beer (make that a few)...nothing like good evening at the pub to get all the BS out on the table and put to rest so we can move on to the next problem.
Arron, let me know if you ever in LA.

Re: TeamRush

And I'll second what DDawg said.

There is no doubt that I am one that is being referred to. If there is a difference of opinion, then that is fine, but calling people drama queens and the village idiot doesn't help make your point. Neither does making statements like loosing half the board when he mentions physics and the other half when he gets into math.

As someone old enough to keep getting those postcards trying to get me to join AARP, I know that you don't get to be this age without picking something up along the way. I'm sure that TR is no exception, I've read some of his posts that prove that he is knowledgeable on some subjects. Sometimes it's a little hard to see, being mixed in with degrading others and patting himself on the back.

I have no need to continue the sparring match. It's a new day and I'm ready to forget the whole thing just like I was several other times. If, however, the personal abuse by TR continues, I doubt it will go unchallenged.

I've replaced so many parts that my old Jeep has become my new Jeep.
