OT- my new daily driver and project

Just bought it last Saturday. I paid $450 and drove it home, over 200 miles, and no problems at 65mph. I think I got a good deal.

I've already done the Duraspark cap upgrade, with new 8mm plug wires, plugs, and a MSD coil.
It has a 258, TF999, NP208, AMC H/D 20 rear, Dana 44 front, 2.73 gears. 3 of 4 of the power door windows work. I fixed the electric tailgate window.

Sounds like you have a good start!
Throw some fuel filters in the vacuum lines to the charcoal canister if it still has one, before it sucks up the charcoal!

Around here, if it moves under it's own power, it's worth a $1,000
Looks like you made a good deal.

Funny, a buddy of mine has a waggie with the same interior. It's a dead ringer for the JP Magazine Project Campy (down to the barefoot circa 1970 chrome barefoot accelerator). We kindly refer to it as "Project Ghetto" or "G-Squared" (grocery getter). On the plus side it does have a balanced/blueprinted/decked/3 angle valve jobb'd/MSD'd/.30 Over 258. Makes a nice sleeper, and it drives like a DREAM on the road, no rust though.

TRs right about that! Everybody around here is so dang proud of Waggys, they expect you to reimburse them for the full retail! (20 years later). Looks like you got a steal.

BTW, what year(s) waggy/GW DOESN'T have Q-Trac?

If you need anything, let me know. I have one with the same equipment that I am stealing the front 44, NP208 and steering for my Hardbody. I will probably scrap the truck when I am done so let me know. Good luck with yours.
