brakes m20 to scout d44?

can I use my brakes from my m20 rear and bolt them on to a 70s scout rear d44?

No. You'll need shoes, drums, two hardware kits (one for each axle) and two wheel cylinders - all for a D44 (either CJ or Scout, P/Ns should be the same.)

I tried to do the same thing, wont work! You can use your AMC20 wheel brake cylinders, maybe some of the springs but that's about it! Good Luck:

not sure ... I haven't bought the axles yet and I can't decide on the scouts or the waggy axles?

Just to elaborate, the backing plates are completely different and the shoes are either 11x 1 3/4" or 11x 2 1/8 or 1/4" (I forget which) which means drums and shoes are also different. (Scout used both widths depending on year and application. Nickmil.
