manual and auto trannies - book ideas
I'm looking into getting some books on manual and automatic transmissions. Not factory repair manuals, not Jeep-specific books either, just basic automotive knowledge books that explains how they are built and how they work (kinda like the stuff on www.howstuffworks.com
only with a LOT more detail). I'm looking at two books by William Crouse (one is called Automatic Transmissions, the other Manual Transmissions), but they are a bit dated so I don't know how good their info still is. Any ideas from anyone? If not, I'll just get the books from Crouse. Thanks in advance.
