I'm not sure what Chrysler does, but on GM it is hooked into the ECM. Try a web search for VATS for more information.


I've replaced so many parts that my old Jeep has become my new Jeep.

The Ford truck I drive has one and apparently it will not start with out it. I do not like it though, since if you loose your keys your screwed. You need both of the original keys to get a new key programed or you have to reprogram the one you have plus the Ford computer. Maybe I am old fashioned, i can live without the theft deturent. Rick
