Pics of your lift shackles

I am planning on putting a set of longer shackles on my cj soon but dont know how tall to get. I was thinking 1 inch but might go with 1.5" or .5"
can you send me a picture of your shackles. I would like to see a set of .5",1",1.5" mounted on a jeep.

thankyou very much.

Re: Pics of your lift shackles

These are YJ shackles, so they're about 0.5" of lift. They're M.O.R.E. greasables.

Re: Pics of your lift shackles

OMG! is that for real?
If you look at that picture, there is nothing positioning the axle. Both front and rear of the springs have those "home made shackles".
At least we dont have to worry about seeing that POS on the trail, it wouldnt make it out of the driveway without collapsing in a heap.
Thats the worst thing I have ever seen.

Oh yea, a picture of my home made shackles:

Re: Pics of your lift shackles

Hey dsanders, I was looking for a way to lift my jeep without doing a SOA… I don’t have enough 1”square tubing but I can find some old shopping carts to get round tubing from…How high do ya thunk I can get her…

I get scared just looking at it…I had to save that picture.. It will give the kid next door new ideas on how to lift his truck…

Re: Pics of your lift shackles

I claim that that pictures is mine it is Wayne's, if you do a search by username for w.c. look at the thread about shackle rumours or something like that. There are more ridiculous rigs there.

Re: Pics of your lift shackles

rubberjeep, that has to be the most embarrased and humiliated Jeep I have ever laid eyes upon. I thought the monster shackle lift was pretty funny and scary but then to be shocked, horrified and saddened. A rollercoaster of emotion from one post, LOL..... Seriously though, that is pathetic and it is the worst thing I have ever seen done to a Jeep.
