Whats the best way to fill the old snap holes in my CJ7 body? Fill with bondo or braze closed or ?? Currently have a supertop so no need snaps any longer.

Re: Soft top snap holes in body

If you have the means to braze or weld them, by all means do. Don't forget to clean and paint the underside to prevent rust. If you go with Bondo, dimple the hole down a little so that you can feather it in around the hole. Otherwise it will pop. Also clean and paint the underside. Body filler is porous, and will let moisture and oxygen pass through, although slowly. It will cause rust at the interface between putty and steel, and eventually pop.
