Re: d60 from a old dodge 3/4 ton

Don't quote me no this, but I think the Dodge 3/4 ton only had D 60 in the rear, with D 44 up front....
Or maybe I'm thinking of Chevy...?...
Anyway, I'm thinking that the D 60 only came in front of a 1 ton or larger....

TR you're right, D 60 fronts only came in 1 ton or larger. However, that doesn't mean someone didn't transplant it there.
Popazeus, I would double check it. If it is in fact an open knuckle Dana 60 then $600 is a good deal (assuming it is complete and in decent shape). $600 for just a rear is way high unless it already has a bunch of goodies inside it. Good luck. Nickmil.

These are a dana 25 and 30 but hopefully it conveys the idea. Here's the link to the article about it.

Re: d60 from a old dodge 3/4 ton

thanks Will I'd never see a closed knuckle axle. Any one know the width in the 85 dodge axles?

Re: d60 from a old dodge 3/4 ton

my 3/4 ton measures 64" on the rear axles so more than likely 66" on the front axle. I dont know if all of the dodges are like this but mine has a chrysler dana 60 in the rear. When you go and look at the axles look on the rear axle center section for the chrysler emblem, you may want to ask if it matters or not I just thought I would let you know
