Luk clutch?

I've done some searches, and found that Luk clutches are recommended by lots of folks here. Is this the standard clutch, or the Gold line? Is there a big difference?
Also I looked at Dial-a-clutch, and found a better price at Carolina clutch by about $30. ($115-142) FYI...

Re: Luk clutch?

Luk (I thought it was Lux, but I could be wrong) is the same company that makes Centerforce. The Gold line is stronger, however, the standard line has held up fine for me.

Re: Luk clutch?

LUK- that's correct
i believe i just bought a standard clutch kit at pep boys cause they had one in stock and i needed to get it done. disc, pressure plate, throwout bearing/slave, pilot bearing and arbor. complete kit-no probs with it. don't forget to get a rebuilt flywheel and new ring gear. or get your flywheel re-faced but still get a new ring gear.
